I’m Becky.
I left the small town in the middle of a farming community 30+ years ago. I was 20 years old, single, and didn’t know anyone in the big metropolitan area of Chicago. Crazy – Yes! But with my sense of adventure and my relationship with God, anything was possible.
I’m a storyteller who loves sharing stories of what God has taught and is currently teaching me about life, my relationship with Him and who He is. I’m the “extroverted, better half” to Mr. Small Town, a crazy, innovative mom to the Kid, and a self-starter who likes to modify any new recipe. Plus, I love a good cup of coffee.
I pray that you will be encouraged in your walk with God as you read through my stories…the stories of a small town girl deepening her walk with God.

I just read your book “Faithful.” From the very first page, I could not put the book down (literally). I had to make myself stop reading so I could get dinner on the table. I cried AT LEAST once while reading each chapter and could not wait to read the next chapter and the next. It was a book that was SO NEEDED right now in my life. Our oldest daughter is facing major major surgery and our faith is being tested and stretched. To be reminded so vividly of God’s faithfulness – strengthened me and fortified me in tremendous ways for the surgery coming in a few weeks. This book is for anyone – I mean anyone — young, old, woman, man, mother, single person, whoever. Thank you, Becky, for sharing your life so transparently. God has used it in my life.
